This was first seminar conducted by the class OM4B. The seminar started with an invocation that was lead by the Letran Jazz Endanza followed by the Singing of National Anthem. The speaker was Mrs. Leonarda Camacho, Executive Vice-President of Linis-Ganda Incorporation who is known to be a dedicated environmentalist. She was very cool and realistic. Despite of her old age she was able to make the crowd awake and participative. In her lecture, she was able to emphasize to the audience the importance of protecting the environment.  She discussed that Green is ALWAYS tied to health. It is one of four basic divisions of environmentalism. So when anyone references Green, they should be addressing a health benefit of the thing. These are generally viewed in immediate and long-term health concerns. So, cleaning products, chemicals, air quality, water, and food may have Green relevance. Mrs. Camacho had also mentioned her advocacy that “Sa pera may basura”. She explained that going green doesn't necessarily require a radical makeover. A series of small steps many of which don't cost a dime can add up to a new way of doing business.

The lecturer was able to discuss the importance of being a green leader. She herself perceive as a green goer by recycling used materials such as the booklets she had given to the audience. The whole seminar might not be good as to other class but our group believed that it was a successful one. The bottom line of this seminar is to tell the youth to care for our environment by engaging into different green activities. It’s important to participate in seminars like this because when you engage in a group you feel like part of a family, a network of others who have the same passion and vision for a better world.

After the seminar’s inspiring lecture, open-forum, as well as some invaluable intermission numbers, it’s hoped that Letranites will inculcate to their mind the importance of giving care to our nature and ready to take action on the environment in their schools and communities. The class had learned a lot of things. That is Great Minds Connect; Ideas are Born, Collaborations Create Opportunities, and Partners Grow with One Another, and Awareness Spreads to the Right People.
